Navigating Fear and Faith in Uncertainty:
Ever since I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I’ve realized that life can be incredibly unpredictable, despite my efforts to stay grounded in faith. One of the hardest moments I faced was in 2022 when I experienced a miscarriage. I remember feeling certain that God would never hurt me, yet the unexpected shattered that belief. I remember telling God I’m scared to trust him because I didn’t know what he would allow to happen next. Since then, I’ve been trying to reconnect with Him and strengthen my faith. You might wonder why, even years later, I still struggle in this area. The truth is, I, like many others, have a deep-seated fear of the unknown that continues to challenge me.
Embracing Change Amidst Complacency
I’ve reached a point in my life where change seems to be everywhere. Changes within myself, my family, and my relationship with God. It can feel a bit overwhelming at times. I’ve noticed that I’ve grown complacent at a certain stage in my walk with Jesus, I was comfortable, even as He gently nudges me to rise higher, move further, and embrace His will for my life. This fear I keep mentioning makes it difficult to fully step into that calling.

Trusting God’s Unfolding Plan
I’ve realized thats why God only reveals glimpses and pieces of His plan for us, and if we were shown everything all at once, we might not be able to handle it. That’s why He guides us through changes gradually. Each step and every obstacle is a reminder that He is holding my hand, reassuring me that I can trust Him.
So, how can we trust God’s plan for our lives when things can feel so unpredictable? The Bible promises that He will never leave us or forsake us, but it doesn’t guarantee that life will be easy or free of challenges. It reminds us that we will face difficulties, yet His promise is that He will guide us through them.
Finding Peace In Uncertainty

Concluding, as I write this blog, I find myself praying for the willingness to embrace everything He has in store for me. I encourage anyone who shares this fear to join me in prayer, asking God to help us overcome our anxieties and fear of the unknown. Let’s seek His peace as we navigate the unknown paths He leads us down, trusting that He has our best interests at heart and that all things work together for those who love him and are called to his purpose.
5 Strategies for Overcoming Fear In Uncertainty:
- Be Open with God: It’s perfectly acceptable to express your feelings and worries to God during prayer. Speak your thoughts out loud. He is always listening.
2. Take Small Steps: Remember that God will not place any burden on you that you cannot handle. Embrace each small change and stay close to Him and His teachings as you navigate your journey.
3. Avoid Expecting Perfection, but Don’t Assume the Worst: Life is a mix of joy and pain, and God guides us through both. Acknowledge that challenges will arise, but remember that you are not alone. He is by your side every step of the way. Always remember he loves you.
4. Don’t Pull Away from God During Difficult Times: In both good times and bad, God invites us to lean on Him. He is our source of strength, especially when we face hardships.
5. Trust that Everything Will Come Together: Have faith that, in the end, all experiences will work in your favor.
Psalm 46: 1-3
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.”
